Stroboscope
A stroboscope is a device used to make a cyclically moving object appear slow-moving or stationary. It was originally invented by Austrian physicist Simon Ritter von Stampfer in the 19th century. Strobe lighting is used to illuminate the object being viewed, and the strobe effect causes the object to appear frozen in time. This is because the strobe light flashes at a frequency that is synchronized with the cyclic motion of the object, creating the illusion of a frozen image. Stroboscopes are commonly used in the motion picture industry, scientific research, and various forms of entertainment. They are also used in machinery maintenance and repair, to make it easier to detect and fix any problems.
